| WEAVE CORPORATION ADDS FIFTH GENERATION AS IT REORGANIZES FOR THE FUTURE
HACKENSACK, NJ -- Weave Corporation, America's top end designer, weaver and importer of fine fabrics for home and contract, announced that Sarah Berkley, daughter of Weave CEO Roger Berkley, and great, great granddaughter of founder Louis Cohen, has joined the firm. Sarah will be working in the marketing and sales headquarters at 1071, Avenue of the Americas in New York. Her arrival is part of changes in Weave's sales and marketing operations.
Glenn Dragone, VP of Marketing, and a veteran of 22 years at Weave, has opted to leave New York for life in Arizona. "Glenn has been more than a critical part of Weave Corporation for so many years," said Roger Berkley, Weave's CEO. "He has been a uniquely talented manager, counselor and friend. I will miss his skill and sense of humor but I know our friendship will continue."
The new formulation at Weave brings Elisabeth Karp, heretofore Weave's premier sales agent for the last 26 years, into the company as Vice President of Sales and Marketing. "Liz will be have authority over everything that happens in our New York operation from product development to final sale," said CEO Berkley. While she will continue to oversee her current accounts, now house accounts, day to day contact with those customers will fall to Diana Dedic who has been Karp's assistant for many years. Melissa Lafferty, Dragone's former assistant, will assume responsibility for daily New York operations including sampling and routine requests from sales representatives, and Awilda Martinez, currently the receptionist will assume Lafferty's previous duties.
Sarah Berkley will be learning every aspect of the company's business. She will report to Elisabeth Karp and focus on marketing issues as her training permits. Sarah Berkley is a 2006 cum laude graduate of Tulane University where she majored in sociology and minored in psychology and French.
